Aside from the obvious - that spending doesn't equal more wins - what I think is best about this offseason so far is that it's forward thinking for 2011 & 2012. By that I mean that Allen et al are calculating the potential strike year as a factor and are getting the team's finances in shape to be stable if and when a new cba is signed. Given the labor situation, it makes even more sense to drop vets & acquire youth, trim the payroll down.
