I'm with Schneed on this one. I like to have smaller topics that are more concise to a certain situation. For instance:

Thread starts about skins talking with LJ
New thread starts if we sign LJ (thus the old one will relatively quickly die out)

But at least new, not renamed, threads for new signings would be great.
