For the ones who think its the insurance companies that are the biggest problem here you really need to look at the numbers. The insurance companies average a profit of around 2.5 to 6.5 %. So if the companies reduced premiums so they could break even in the best case it would save a family 65 dollars a month if they are paying a 1,000 per month. Sorry that not going to fix anything and all these mandates they are going to add will only increase health ins. The facts are is that the goverment will make this worse which I think is their goal just so they can force us into goverment health care. This whole debate has nothing to do with health care it has to do with gaining power.

i think that they are one of the biggest problems in the equation. there is no way i want an insurance company telling me what i can, and cannot do as far as my health. and that's exactly what we have now. and im not sure where you got your numbers, but the CEO of Blue Cross just got a big time bonus
