However, we know Shanahan never even contacted Cutler before drafting him. Good points. The thing is though about the Cutler situation and why Shanahan kept it secret was most likely because he knew he would have to trade up but at the same time no was expecting him to take a QB with the recent success of Jake Plummer.
This time around everyone knows that Redskins want a Quarterback so now the strategy is to visit everyone and make everyone wonder who they really want.
There most likely is a misdirection game going on somewhere in all of this but the question is where is it leading.
