Re: Too FAT for Hooters?
I waited tables for a couple years while in school and once i worked my way up to good shifts and preferred sections I would make around 300 a week working around 15 hours. This was at a chain restaurant in Richmond that closed down. People working the same chain in the DC area were supposedly making at least 75k a year working full time.
But i didnt have to worry about health insurance at the time. But i also only reported like 30% of my credit card tips (which was the minium) and 0% of my cash tips (which wasnt much anyways). That said most people i know at other restrurants had to report different because of the way the tip out system worked.
