Re: Flashback: Arrington vs. Brown: who do we draft?

There seems to be a bit of revisionist history happening here.

When Brown, Arrington and Samuels were the first three picks, Cleveland had the first pick. So it was Cleveland that made the decision for the Redskins. Even if Vinnie and Danny wanted Brown, they couldn't have gotten himn because Cleveland and Brown had agreed to a deal BEFORE draft day.

Their only "genius" was not talking themselves out of the "leftovers" that Cleveland gave them. Turns out the "leftovers" have performed better than the overall #1 pick, but that was due to nothing that Vinnie and Danny Boy did.

BTW, the Browns also had the overall #1 pick and took Tim Couch with that pick and the next guy taken was - - - Donovan McNabb. The Browns might be a significantly better team today if they had taken McNabb and Arrington instead of Couch and Brown!
