Yeah it is unfortunate but it has to be dealt with, not ignored. It's far more important that the right tone is set within the locker room from the get. Come week 8 or 9 no one will be discussing Albert failing 300 yard wind sprints, but if Shanahan doesn't right the ship here and now, it won't matter much what happens that late in the season. Football is as much mental and emotional as it is physical.
I think Shanahan is taking the right approach, given the hand that was dealt to him and could have been avoided, and I support him 110%.
