Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Actually, this does seem to set up for a trade, if you consider the conversation from a GM point of view.
If BA is trying to gauge the market, he needs to be able to say the knee is not an issue and this is AH trying to push back at the 3-4 scheme. A clean MRI would open the door to a possible trade to most 4-3 teams, who would be sold the fact that AH simply wants a 4-3 team, and shown clips of him stuffing the Giants twice at the 4 yard line. Certainly there has to be some market for him.
As for Shanahan's comments you could also interpret them as back handed digs at AH. By saying AH was doing better in drills than he would have thought, Shanahan could be implying that the injury really isn't what is holding AH back. Likewise, by saying that the soreness is getting worse, when it should have been getting better, assuming the MRI comes back clean, is basically calling AH's self report of the condition a lie, or intentional exaggeration.
That said, I really hope AH gets off the bench, and gets to work, and plays the season as a Skin.
