Perhaps you could... if another team held all the rights to all those picks.

This chart is a guideline of approximate value. For example, if the 49ers wanted out of the #1 pick, the approximate value of that pick exceeds the 4th pick in every round. Does that mean the Bears would trade their entire draft for one pick? Doubtful (although the Bears have made worse selections).

These are what one team considers to be the value of "abstract selections". Actual picks (like when Ricky Williams was on the board for the Saints) can make the pick more valuable to a team. Ditka placed a great deal of value on the player to be selected, and he paid dearly for his choice. If his desire for that particular player wasn't so evident, he probably could have paid less (as a Skins fan, of course, I'm glad he didn't).
