What does Thomas stepping up have to do with Sellers and how did we go from traffic violations to Davis smoking pot to Thomas and then to Sellers being the odd man out???

No not at all. I was referring to packages in which the Redskins would use two tight ends, a fullback, and one receiver while Davis or Cooley split out wide as this would give us our best group of pass catchers while still giving our running back a lead blocker. If Thomas is able to step up the emphasis will be on our "Tiger" package which is basically two tight ends, two receivers, and one running back leaving Sellers as the odd man out.
Keep in mind this is just me rambling but I think the emphasis is getting our best players on the field.
