Well, I look at it like this, you don't need to make as much as the guy making the most. If you think about it, there are plenty that are making a couple million. That's 2 million dollars! They want 6 million. They play a game. I have no problem with a player like Revis going out and finding another job. I wonder what his degree was in? Let's assume communication, so if he's lucky, he could scramble to find a 100k job. I have never liked unions in sports. Owners have a TON of responsibility, players, just 1...PLAY. Obviously I am the minority on this though...which is fine...it's not going to change.
I'd love to see teams having more of a say on situations like Haynesworth. We should be able to void his contract and get his signing bonus back. Of course this will never happen...but what if you went to your job day in and day out and didn't perform at all, you would be fired.
