Re: F...Toyota
Man they do everything they can to avoid giving you service with your warranty. My aux. jack broke back in my '09 Corolla about March this year while it was still under warranty (3 yr, 36k miles) and they tried to do everything they could to avoid repairing it until I finally got fed up and told them to fix it. Also the tire pressure indicator light is on and I think there's a malfunction in the system because it blinks for a minute when I turn the car on and stays solid, and according to the manual that means there's a problem with the system and not a tire. Because the psi in all 4 tires is normal, so it shouldn't be on. But they told me it wasn't them and maybe a stem broke and that's what's causing it. So I've had to deal with that for a while now.
Plus as recently as a month ago my aux. jack broke again, like all the times pulling the cord in/out has caused the jack itself to loosen from the dash thus creating an unstable connection. So I took the car to the dealership again, and they told me since the car's warranty expired at 36k miles (I was at 36,700) I would have to pay 100 bucks for the part and some obscene amount for the labor.
In short, I hate them. Everybody that works at the dealership near my house is an asshole and their bottom line is doing whatever they can to avoid servicing cars under warranty.
