I think individually the defense is not that bad, not as bad as the stats suggest. True we gave up a lot of yards, but we gave them up to the number one passing offense a year ago too. I also get the sense that this team isn't down on itself like they would have been a year ago after a loss like this. So I'll chalk that up to leadership. But you just can't have no running game and expect your defense to slug it out with Houston all day long. No defense could have.

Adam Carriker looks like he's finding his sea legs out there. God, I was really down on the guy when we signed him, but if stays healthy he might be a keeper.

I'll ditto Matty on Laron Landry. He'll never make people forget about Sean Taylor 'round these parts, but he's starting to carve out his own little rep for being a fierce defender and is always around the ball. He's putting up Pro Bowl numbers.
