I think it would be a waste to draft Merriman for the simple fact that he's undersized and could not be used as a full time DE. As a full time OLB, who's spot is he going to take? His mentor, Lavar Arrington's or Pro Bowler Marcus Washington's? The guy we take in ther 1st round has to contribute more than that. I do like the idea of help on the DL. How about Shaun Cody or Matt Roth as a late 1st rounder?
