Lightbulb We have an excellent opportunity to have a 2 game lead, at the end of week 10!!

I was looking at the schedule as I routinely do...lol

And noticed that the next 4 weeks are going to be absolutely huge for this Redskins team,to take advantage of the schedule we have. All 3 teams in the Giants,Redskins and Eagles draw bye weeks during this time and I love the set up.

If we can take care of business against the Bears and Lions on the road, which won't be easy...but certainly winnable games..we have a chance at taking the flag at the final turn.

Currently we are in 3rd place in the Division.
Giants are 4-2
Eagles are 4-2
Redskins are 3-3
and Dallas is 1-4

As much as I don't want to admit to it,I believe we want the Cowboys to beat the Giants and here's why.

The redskins have a chance to go 5-3 before the Bye week..if we can beat the bears and Lions.

The Giants play @Dallas,then have a bye...Then they go @Seattle, which I think Seattle can win cause we all know they always play like SB contenders at Quest field lol. Then the Giants face Dallas again but at home...Those are 3 games they very well can & and might lose. That would drop there record to 4-5 and being swept by Dallas and 0-2 in the division.

Dallas has the Giants, then they have Jacksonville, then they play @ Green bay, then @ Giants again...If Dallas could sweep the Giants, that would give them 3 wins there...If they somehow could lose either the jags or packers game, they would be tied with the same record as the Giants with a 4-5 overall record and at best...5-4 at best and a 3-6 at worse and still sweeping the giants.

The Eagles have @Tennessee then a bye week. Then they play the Colts and then our Redskins on Monday Night. They easily could lose all 3 games and a loss against us on Monday Night gives us a seep over them and they have a 4-5 record just like the Giants and possibly Cowboys.

A best case scenario could look like this...
So the standing would look like this after week 10...
Redskins 6-3 (3-0 in Division) and 6-1 in Conference with sweep over Eagles
Giants 4-5 (0-2 in Division) and 3-3 in Conference while swept by Dallas
Eagles 4-5 (0-2 in Division) and a 3-3 in Conference while swept by Skins
Cowboys 3-6 (2-1 in Division) and a 2-4 Conference while swept Giants

Crazy..Isn't it?
Well, that's how it will look if we win our next 3 games over Bears,Lions and Eagles
Dallas beats Giants both times and loses to G.B. and Jaguars
Eagles lose to Titans,Colts and Skins

Obviously, the toughest part is us winning 3 games in a row..lol

Dallas beating the Giants twice very well could happen as the giants don't play them very well. Going @ G.B could see a loss for Dallas...The wild card is that Dallas and Jacksonville game..But we can still hope for dallas to play like we know they can in this one..lol

I can see the eagles losing the next 3 easily..with Kolb or Vick..

Now why would this be huge at this part of the schedule?

Because that very next week in week 11,we have the Redskins @ Tennessee
Detroit @ Dallas
and the Giants @ Eagles matchup

One or the other in the Giants/Eagles gives 1 team 3 losses in the division in a loss here. We probably root for an eagles win here because we would have the sweep over them. It would also be their 1 division win, while we have 3 still....

So even if we lost to @Tennessee and were 6-4 and eagles win and go 5-5...we still carry a 1 game 1/2 lead over them with a sweep. Giants are in trouble here with a 4-6 record here and 0-3 in the division. (haven't even played us yet!)

We beat the Titans and that would make things even sweeter going 7-3.
