Thanks, Eeich. To tell the truth I wasn't sure, so I hedged my comment by simply saying "second pick". Anyway, I didn't mean to cause trouble!
I have sympathy with the "sour grapes" attitude, but this wouldn't have been a Big-Daddy style fiasco--it's health incentive based.
Clearly, the FO is committed to changing it's rep--we are
NOT the ATM of the league anymore!!! Probably this will take a while to settle. For now, agents and players expect us to act like we did in the past, and they get pissed and go elsewhere when we don't break the bank. Down the road--assuming we get better!--it will be easier to land players, and no one will be expecting the mega-bucks giveaway that Danny-boy is infamous for. But we're suffereing throught the transition right now.
