Re: Rookie QB's take charge in today's NFL.
Surprised Colt McCoy did not make the list.
For the 3 or 4 successful rookie QB's this year, there are a dozen rookie Qb's that will never be good enough for the NFL. I think we have these handful of young QB's doing well this year because of the sad state of the QB's in the entire NFL. This is more of a sad statement of the lack in quantity of quality talented QB's out there in the NFL right now.
These kids, ready or not, are being forced to start because the existing veteran qb's on certain teams is pitiful.
For every Sam Braford and Josh Freeman, you have multiple Jimmy Clausen's or Time Tebow's . Statistically it is still a major crap shoot when drafting a QB in the first round. Clausen is being forced into starting and not doing well. He has played in 6 games and started 3, Clausen has 1 TD and 4 Int's, been sacked 11 times and a QB rating of 48.0
It seemed like every so-called expert said Clausen would be the better pro than Bradford and Colt McCoy. That he was more ready for the NFL. Well they were wrong. McCoy and Bradford went to 1-15 Rams and 5-11 Browns, while Clausen went to an 8-8 Carolina team.
