Agree 100%. Portis is not the same guy from yesteryear that people remember. He's had piles of injuries that have left him worn out, fragile, and jaded to the game, to the point where he voluntarily slides down or takes a knee so that he doesnt have to take the hit.
He may only be 29, but Portis is way past his prime due to the serious amount of injuries he's had to endure, and the fact that Joe Gibbs basically ran him into the ground.
He is a definate asset to pass protection blocking. That is is only value for this team in 2010. His speed is gone, he is not an every down back anymore, and now, he is injury prone.
I would think if they want to keep him healthy for the remainder of the season, he takes a minimal role, and is used situationally.
