Seems like the pro-Gardner people blow that off more often than the anti-Gardner people blow off the one 1000 yard season he had.
He had one good season out of 4. Wow, I'm really impressed, even in baseball that's a crappy percentage.
When is it time to move on? I'd say 4 seasons is more than enough time to properly evaluate a player.
Last year was a disappointment for Moss because of injuries, but he STILL had a much better season than Gardner, and he also played in a conservative offense.

Gardner has the physical size to be a prototypical receiver. Moss has the exact opposite. But Moss makes the most of it everytime he touches the ball. Gardner might touch the ball but not catch it. How often, or ever, did Gardner make a great catch, and make a play after catching the ball. Never. Sometime he would have an amazing catch, but then go down right away.
Even if Gardner learned to catch, in my opinion that just makes him an average receiver. He just hasnt shown that he wants to make big plays with the ball.
