Newton is a spread QB with huge character concerns. Blaine Gabbert has gotten on the scene recently but he also comes from a spread system. Christian Ponder is this years "compromise pick" where people say "sure draft a QB but lets trade down and draft a guy in the 3rd round and groom him, because that always works out." Stupid Charlie Frye fans.

Not too big on Ponder either, he's decent but not a starting QB in the nfl imo
I watched him play in person this season when FSU played OU and he looked horrible, I think he had like 3 Ints or something like that.. Yes I know its just 1 game but thats a game that will stick with me if we draft him
