Last year, at 4-12 our defense was still top 10-12, and one year later we are 28-31. There is definitely some to blame on the coordinator when we didnt lose a whole lot on defense.

I don't think it's Haslett's fault. You can't run a good scheme with out the right players. I blame Shanny because he's so married to the 3-4 in the first place. I've said a few times that it's much easier to build a good offense if you already have a good defense. It just seems like common sense to leave it the way it was, revamp the offensive side, then if you want, make the switch. Because it's also easier to rebuild a defense if your now working with a good offense. Doing them both at once seems like such an up hill battle that takes so long.
