Jay Cutler didn't really look that impressive stats wise coming out of college yet he was able to make Shanahans system work at the pro level.

The main thing about Locker is that he has even more physical, raw talent then Cutler had coming out. The way he runs a bootleg is a thing of beauty and combined with the arm and leadership qualities, well safe to say you have a QB that would be perfect for Shanahaans system.
I understand that people are scared of Locker because he has all these blemishes but ironically you want to be able to see those when you draft a guy. Don't give me the guy that played with a bunch of High School All-Americans at USC. Instead give me the guy who struggled through adversity. Give me the guy that had no help what so ever, that had to carry an entire team on his shoulders.
Bring him here, let him sit on the bench for a year and develop, because as we all know, with QB's the returns take time and with any franchise you have to build around him while you're waiting for him to develop.
You can't hope to build this perfect little team and then acquire your QB because then while your best players are in their prime you're dealing with the growing pains of developing a young QB and in turn you're mistiming your window.
