If Luck comes out and that team with the first pick needs a QB then the chances of getting him are moot. The type of trade you would need to get that first overall pick would look something like trading away an established young QB like Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco along with your teams first round pick. The way it looks to everyone is that this kid is a once in a generation, can't miss prospect. The type of player that even five first round picks couldn't pry away.

NFL scouts look at him the same way people saw way hockey scouts looked at Sidney Crosby back in 2005. Another good parallel would be baseball scouts evaluating Strasburg in 2009.

I cannot stress enough how highly regarded Luck is as a pro prospect. He has all the physical, mental, and intangible tools you look for in a QB. Including but not limited to height, arm strength, accuracy, leadership, experience in a pro system, Football IQ, regular IQ, and work ethic. Heck the guy even has the ability to gain yards with his legs.

The only thing we can hope is that he comes out next year and an AFC team gets the number one pick, because I can assure you, you don't want to play against this guy in the playoffs once he fully develops.
