Don't get me wrong, I'm no Vince Young fan, but I think he's a way better quarterback and athlete than Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart.

GD it! I had a long and thoughtful response to post and I lost it.
In a nutshell
Leinart was cut because the HC didn't like him, not for lack of ability. Matt Cassel was his backup's backup at one time. He will have to step in sometime and will turn some heads.
Quinn is in the wrong system an has been since college. As soon as someone puts him in the "Walsh" system; he will blossom. He may not have a cannon but he has everything else. It will be a tragedy if no one ever gives it a try.
VY on his best day is an option QB with 2 tools (speed and a cannon). Nobody in the NFL runs the option so do the math. He has none of the other necessary skills. VY has just had the benefit of having an owner that loved him.
Had Leinart and Quinn had as many opportunities as VY we wouldn't be having this conversation. Bookmark this page and give it 3-4 more years. One if not both will have proven their worth beyond that of VY.
