I have no steadfast loyalties to the 4-3 defense, my issue comes from that the change created more needs.
Anyway, I saw this quote from an interview with Ron Rivera, who is getting ready to make the same switch in Carolina, and here is what he has to say:
"I was able to talk with Rivera after his press conference about the 3-4 scheme he ran so well in San Diego, (the Chargers ranked No. 1 in the NFL in defense last season).
He said that getting solid nose tackle play is the key to any 3-4 scheme."
I am really hoping that NT is a priority for the Redskins this offseason. If we can't get a decent NT, we are going to struggle again defensively.
