I don't agree with a playoff team doesn't drive prices. A playoff team will in fact increase the demand for a team which will soon affect the prices. It's hard to say that it would for the Redskins because of the stadium being so big. Having a 90,000+ stadium works against you as much as it does for you.

That's the whole point. They've been charging premium prices for tickets for teams that were well below the norm in terms of production. It's finally got to the point where they can't raise (or justify) the ticket price raises to the fanbase anymore without them winning first.

A lot of teams shot up with new stadiums. Dallas went insanely high with the Giants and Colts.
