Re: Favorite Apps for your Smartphone

I just bit the bullet and bought an Iphone (Verizon). I'm having a hard time d/l'ing apps and stuff though, and I'm not sure if it's the phone or my home network. I'm at home right now, and I d'l'ed Itunes, then hooked my phone up to the comp so I could set up my Itunes account and start d/l'ing apps. I was going through the setup for my phone on Itunes after I got that installed and Itunes started syncing with my phone and it froze my comp (I knew installing Itunes would probably result in that since my comp is a 7 yr old POS that can barely run anyways, but I figured since I had created an Itunes account everything would be fine to d/l apps on my phone. So I'm on my phone now and even though I'm connected to my home network and it says it has plenty of signal, I just tried downloading the FB app and it just said it can't connect to the Itunes store, and this is the second time I've tried d/l'ing an app and it won't work. The first time I was actually able to connect and then I got stuck on my debit card info page, and it asked me for my card number, security code, which i gave, and then it also said an access number was required, and I don't have a clue what that is. So I'm thinking maybe it's because my wireless home network signal is pretty bad, but I don't think it explains why it's taking my Iphone so long initialize and setup this FB app. And I also need to figure out something to make my battery last longer too, I've heard reports that an app killer helps save battery life but then I've also heard conflicting reports that all they do is kill it even more. So I'm not sure what direction to proceed in on that issue either.
