NFL draft 2011: Cam Newton plans to attend NFLPA's event - ESPN
Edit: Never mind. They're basically holding the event as a fancy sort of tailgate before the draft for the players. (IE ballroom dinner). The event won't compete with the draft as it will be held before hand.
