Sometimes high school coaches are able to get away with padding measure ables, other times they're not. Not every potential recruit gets to go to Nike Camp where they at least have Combine like tools.

You'll also notice some guys may have had coaches that were a little slow and quick with stop watches on the 40 (slow at the start, quick at the end). Other times they'll innocently round up on measureables. Robinson for example is 5'9 5/8th, however his height is listed as 5'10. Bottom line theres so many of these kids across the country that standardized testing becomes hard.

Ive always wondered about 40 times from HS too. I would think that a 18 year olds 40 be a lot slower then a 22 year olds at the combine or pro day, but sometimes there as good as or better. It has to be a coach with a quick thumb.
