Well in fairness to LaWrong (sorry just wanted to say that) the coverage was set up in such a way where there was a huge weak spot between the corner and the safety. In fact a lot of the plays where Landry gave up yards were designed defensively to not let them past a certain point like the corner blitz on 3rd and 9 during the Cowboys game.
Laron gave up a few plays but for the most part he did his job. Personally I'm just excited about pairing him up again with a real Center Fielder. Amazing though when you think about it, as amazing as Laron is, ST21 was better. He was like a combination of Landry and Otowge in one player.
Really hope though that Laron can get back to where he was in 2007 in terms of coverage if for nothing more then self preservation. It seems a lot of these safeties that make a living in the box get nicked up more then most and the way Landry's playing, well lets just say you don't break/sprain/dislocate (not sure which ones exactly) a wrist, shoulder, and achillies playing soft.
Actually come to think of it maybe GW simply knows how to coach Free Safeties better then Blache did, as his leaving coincided with Laron picking up some bad coverage habits. Even funnier that Blache used to compare Laron to Polamalu but Haslet actually used him as such.
