The only time I've enjoyed the net value thing is when my friends thought I was crazy for saying that the Redskins were among the 5 most valuable sport franchises world wide, and way even be in the top 2, to which they replied that there was NO WAY the Skins were more valuable then teams like Real, Barca, Chelsea, Bayren, Arsenel. As well as teams like the Yankees, Lakers, Red Sox, Patriots, etc.
It was pretty shocking to considering that teams like Real Madrid had paid 100 million Euros just to acquire the rights to a player. Never mind paying them to play, just the right to sign them to a contract.
A hollow victory if there ever was one.

Last I checked Real Madrid was one of the worst managed team in sports. I think they were 300 million dollars in dept and nearly went bankrupt. Their management makes Danny look timid.
