Yeah, but if they say no to the raise, the rest of us still have to come to work.
The real problem here is that the owners should either make offseason workouts mandatory or just don't allow them at all. I know that there are issues with the players association, but it appears that teams really expect their players to attend. If it's important, they need to change the rules, make them mandatory, and be done with it. It's ironic that it's always the richest players that don't attend while the lowest paid players bust thier ass. It says alot about the character of the guys who don't show up.
