They are already guaranteed 8 figures for this year. So their signing bonus for a long term deal has to, as a rule of thumb, double what they are going to be making this year anyway.
$20 million dollars up front for a center plus competitive salaries is a lot to spend on a player who isn't 23 years old and cannot singlehandedly change the direction of the offense. He would fill a gaping hole here. But if the Redskins were really serious about replacing Rabach, options to do so are readily available.
