The full title of the book is:
True Believers: The Tragic Inner Life of Sports Fans by Joe Queenan.
Queenan specifically talks about fans like "formerredskinfan" and the demented psychology driving his thinking. I am a die hard regardless of who the Redskins draft, cut, sign etc. I have seen ALL the super bowls from Vll to XXVl including all the games in between. One thing has remained constant: THE FANS! We are the greatest, most loyal fans in the world. Let's not let a few bad apples spoil that legacy. I see a lot of you every sunday during the season at the various bars here in LA and have shared the agonies and victories (few lately!) and I know that we'll never suck anus like the frontrunning, bandwagon suck fans of the Cowgirls, Eagirls and Gints. We're just bored and need football bad because the NBA sucks.
