The Redskins on Monday afternoon announced that training camp will open on Thursday afternoon, contrary to what players and agents had been told to expect. The Redskins originally had planned for a July 28 start date, but considered bumping up camp's start a day. Coach Mike Shanahan ultimately decided to stick with Thursday.
