Re: Tiger Woods Returns To Golf

tiger had 3 boggy's today and 1 double boggy, he is sitting at -1 for the tourney going into the weekend

Quote:
Woods started his second round on No. 10 on the South Course at Firestone, and opened with four straight pars.

At the 14th, Woods found a fairway bunker off the tee and that led to his first boggy. He came right back with another boggy on No. 15 after he missed the green with his tee shot at the par-three.

In true Woods fashion, he came right back with birdies on 16 and 17. Woods rolled in a 10-footer on the par-five 16th and followed with a six-foot birdie putt on No. 17.

Woods' birdie try at the 18th lipped out, so he made the turn at even-par for his round and two-under par for the tournament. He was six back at the time.

His par on 18 was the first of four in a row. After a three-putt boggy on No. 4, Woods erased that mistake with a seven-foot birdie effort on the fifth.

Woods made a mess of the sixth. He found sand with his approach to the par- four, then blasted through the green back into the fairway. Woods chipped to six feet, but two-putted for double-boggy.

That dropped him to even-par for the championship. Woods got one stroke back as he poured in a 21-foot birdie putt on the seventh. He closed with two-putt pars on the final two holes

"Here this week, it's been getting the ball the right number [distance-wise]," Woods said of his biggest struggle so far. "It's just as hot at home, if not hotter. The ball should be flying about the same, but it's not. I'm swinging better, so I have to get used to the new numbers."
