Safety LaRon Landry missed nearly half of last season because of an Achilles tendon injury, one that’s not healed well enough to allow him to participate in practice during this training camp. With Reed Doughty taking reps with the first team alongside new free safety O.J. Atogwe, Landry has been forced to watch. Though he insists he expects to be ready for the Sept. 11 season opener against the New York Giants, he has no timetable for a return to practice.
