Yeah, I am not good at the provider switch game. But have learned quite a bit over the last couple years. Negotiate the terms of your contract for a shorter period than they say it will be for signing up for or upgrading any service. And call when your contract is about to expire. I have until Nov so I don't have much leverage but come Oct, they will be getting the "what have you done for me lately" call.
