It was in a completely different offensive philosophy and is hardly a strong comparison, but 2008 Joe Flacco>2010 Sam Bradford in most every way.
Still, Matt Ryan's rookie year was the best year by a rookie QB in all the year's I've been following the NFL.

I would take Dan Marino's rookie year over any QB I've seen - he only started half that season, and put up 20 TD's, then followed it up with 48 TDs and his only Super Bowl appearance in year 2.
