I don't want to just "move the ball." I want to SCORE TOUCHDOWNS. Tired of getting to the 10 yard line and TW giving up a sack. If we win on 5 field goals, we haven't fixed our main problem.
The difference between the top teams and bottom teams is slim. We tend to lose games by less than 3 pts -- Last year we had
12 games decided by less than a touchdown, and NINE games by a field goal or less. Our defense could get us closer this year, but we still need to score TDs. Can't remember the last time we were blowing the other team away and I wasn't on the edge of my seat in the 4th quarter... Our largest margin of victory last year? The first game, by 6 points.
Don't get me wrong - I've loved our moves - good young players. Good showing so far in preseason, but it's simple - we definitely need to score touchdowns to win.
