All the hunters I know respect the animals they hunt and make sure the meat goes to good use. You do understand that there are other animals people can eat besides cows, chickens, and pigs. you don't have to get your meat from a market. They also donate the meat.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Monday marked the beginning of firearm deer season in Pennsylvania and hunters have been out in full force.
The Game Commission estimates around 750,000 hunters were in the woods on the first day.
This year, many hunters will be sharing the wealth with local food banks.
The program is called “
Hunters Sharing the Harvest” and it is the oldest and most successful program of its type in the U.S. Many hunters embrace the program and the opportunity to help the community.
