Although not a sports figure, I ran into Chick Hernandez at White Flint Mall, he was out with his young daughter.

My mom also briefly(and I mean really briefly) dated James Brown after a chance encounter on a flight (the sportscaster, not the deceased soul singer) since he's from the DC area.
