Let's think without hindsight for a moment. How did folks rate Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder and Andy Dalton? Cam Newton was not going to anyone but Carolina. Same with Locker and Tennessee. Even those two had question marks. Besides, if we
did trade up, he'd probably be skewering us for neglecting the rest of the team, i.e our crappy Kerrigan-less defense.
And the Browns pretty much would have had to pick Dalton as their new QB if they wanted a QB, unless they traded up.
