I understand that, and have given that some thought. But I also think the coaches give the corners a little wiggle room and allow them to play at a comfortable yardage.
What I am saying is that on 3rd down or 2nd long we have blitzed a good bit. And when you blitz like we do, you'd like to have the corners up, chucking the receivers at the line, throwing off the timing of the routes. He allows the receivers to get a clean break from the line then he just turns and runs ahead of the receiver. I doubt Haslett is telling him to play like that.
