It's unfair to assume that Russell lacks desire and Bradford doesn't. Maybe Sam Bradford isn't really passionate about football. Maybe Russell wanted nothing more in life than to be a successful NFL QB. We simply can't assume that the black guy lacked desire, even though we do know that he wasn't successful at all.

The only thing we really know is that both got drafted first overall by awful teams and weren't good though two seasons. In Russell's case we know he regressed terribly in his third year and is now out of the league. That's the difference. The ending to Russell's story (I believe) has already been written.
