Not that I have a great frame of reference but I've driven both BMW and Lexus and I absolutely loved driving the Lexus. If I ever make enough money I'll probably try to buy a Lexus sedan or a Hyundai Genesis if they're still a great bang for the buck luxury car by then.
Get her a conflict diamond then when she's so happy about what you got her break the story about where it came from. She'll be so distraught she'll never want anything expensive again.

I test drove RX a few years ago and it wasn't that special of drive. These luxury cars are overrated...a fully loaded Nissan Murano will do just fine.
