However, if they use it on Flynn, and trade him, they will take a cap hit, if I'm correct, even though he's not on the team. So you would be looking at Green Bay taking a decent cap hit for a guy not on the team, and still having to sign their free agents. I just don't see it happening. I"m not totally positive on the type of cap hit they'll take by franchising and trading. I do know teams can't franchise players with the sole purpose of trading them. This is partly why the Colts will not be able to pay Peyton the $28 million bonus AND trade him. The cap hit they'll take would make it a stupid decision.

Agreed, it's highly likely this doesn't happen. But, Flynn will not go to Cleveland, Miami or Seattle make sense, but not Cleveland.
