Yes we settled for Ryan Kerrigan(im not saying he's not good), that's why we traded back. You don't trade back unless the player you really wanted was already drafted. Roy Helu was a third stringer who only got to play when Hightower went down and Torrain was released, he wasn't drafted to be a starter. Hankerson, was a good pick, but Shannahan still sat him on the bench and allowed his old guys like Stalworth and Gaffney get a majority of the snaps. Without getting a franchise QB were looking at more 6-10 seasons for years to come.
The Shannhans have done nothing to prove that can acquire, draft, or develop an elite QB. I'm tired of everyone making excuses for the Shannhans ineptitude. I'm actually more pissed that we didn't get Jake Locker last year, someone who we could of dealt for and landed. Now we're going to have to "settle" for whatever 2nd rate QB is out there since the Shannahans are incapable of getting a true franchise QB.
