Seymour, 25, who has two years remaining on the deal he signed as a rookie in 2001, is one of the league's great bargains. He is slated to make $2.8 million this coming season and $1.2 million (plus escalators) in 2006.
This guy is a monster DL, truely one of the best young DL's in the game right now. Seymore getting paid $1.2 next year (2006)is a crime. DL in particular suffer career ending injuries all the time, very dangerous position.
If the Patriots were smart, they should extend his contract before 2006. It would give Seymore incentive to stay in NE. This is why I hate the salary cap, this guys deserves to make more.
