Granted I am a fan of Weeden, but the difference between him and RGIII is like the difference between Phillip Rivers and Jason Campbell.
The net effect of that extra WR and CB you pick up instead of trading up is not likely to exceed that of picking a game changer like Griffin. You would have to pick the next Andre Johnson and Darrell Revis to even start considering it an even trade off.
It's quantity over quality.
Also as I alluded to before Griffin is the very very very rare type of QB that can actually open running lanes for backs. To get the same effect of these running lanes you would have to add a pro bowl level tackle and guard.
